Vani Private Limited was
established in Tamil Nadu in the
year 1947 with the great vision of
Late Mr. MAL. Alagappa Chettiar as a
trading company. In the late 80’s
the company’s base was moved to
Bangalore, Karnataka to take
advantage of Bangalore’s fast paced
growth. Today, with over 50 years of
experience in the industry the
company has evolved into a leading
distributor for products made by
some of the world’s top companies.
Vani Private limited is the
marketing arm of DuPont for its
“Engineering Plastics” and “The
miracles of science“ range of
products”; 3M India Ltd. for its
“Industrial tapes, Adhesives and
Specialty Division”.
Vani Private Limited belongs to a
group of companies engaged in
diverse activities such as
Manufacturing, Marketing,
Plantations & Charitable Educational
Institutions with a group turnover
of over Rs.60 crores. The
manufacturing and packaging wing
comprises of a Corrugated Box
Manufacturing unit and a Plastic
Injection/Blow Moulded component
manufacturing unit also located in
Bangalore under the name M/s India
Packaging Products Private Limited.
Synonymous with the name, the
companies cater mostly to the
packaging needs of customers and are
associated with some of the largest
multinationals and industrial houses
in India.

of Late Mr. MAL. Alagappa Chettiar:
Mr. AL. Muthiah (Managing Director— Chamundi Textiles Silk Mills Ltd.)
and Mr. AL. Annamalai (Managing
Director — India Packing Products
Pvt. Limited) both entrepreneurs
with vast experience across
different fields.

Timeline:
1947 -
Vani Pvt. Ltd. started off as a
company trading in textile fabrics.
1987 -
The company’s base was shifted to
Bangalore, Karnataka.
19 -
The company then started to
diversify its activities by
undertaking marketing activities for
companies like M/s. Gujarat State
Fertilizers and Chemicals
(Engineering Polymers Nylon-6) and
M/s. Supreme Petrochemicals Ltd.,
(Poly-styrene).
1990 -
Became a distributor for 3M India
Ltd (formerly M/s. Birla 3M Ltd.) to
market their Industrial Adhesives,
Tapes and specialty products, which
are widely used across all types of
industry.
1998 -
Become the stockiest for M/s. E.I.
DuPont (I) Pvt. Ltd to market their
